“My oldest son Richard”

Richard after he covered Red label
Summer 2009

My oldest son’s name is Richard; he is fourteen and will be going in to the eighth grade
in the fall at Molalla River Middle School. He is 5’8 and 160lbs, muscular, athletic build,
with dark brown hair, an olive skin tone, with the bluest eyes I have ever seen, with these
long dark eye lashes that most girls would die for, and a smile that could light up any
room he walks into. He looks much older than he is, he is often mistaken for being in
high school with all his facial hair, not to mention the way he carries his self. He has been
on the honor roll the past two years, as well as has done track every spring. Last year he
made it to districts and placed first in shot put and discus and second in the 400 meter.
This year they did not have sub districts or districts, unfortunately. However, he did take
first and second in all the events he participated in, he mostly did shot put, discus, 4×1
and the 4×4. He plans on playing football in the fall and is very excited about it. Along
with being an athlete, he also rides bulls, through the Willamette Junior Rodeo in Molalla
at the buckaroo grounds. Last year was his first year riding bulls and he placed second
and third every time he rode. This year he will be in the senior division instead of junior
division which in tells riding bigger bulls that perform harder. I am very proud of him; he
takes pride in everything he does and constantly strives to be the best, but still continues
to be a team player with good sportsmanship. I only hope he stays on the path he is on
now, for if he does I have no worries for his future he will be successful at anything he does.
